Omega Pediatrics has published a new Breast Milk Fortification Calculator for health professionals who need a quick way to locate exact recipes from a cited source table.
What the calculator does
The calculator is based on a publicly available Children’s Minnesota resource, “Breast milk: Fortified (Using standard formula),” revised in November 2020. Users select one of the listed calorie targets — 22, 24, 26 or 28 kcal/oz — and one of the exact breast milk amounts provided in that resource. The tool then displays the corresponding formula-powder amount.
The calculator does not interpolate, scale or create recipes that are not included in the cited table.
Professional-use notice
The calculator is intended for health professionals and is provided for informational support only. It does not replace independent clinical judgment.
Same-day and next-day appointments available.
Omega Pediatrics makes no guarantees that the calculator is complete, current, error-free or appropriate for every clinical situation. Before making a clinical decision, users should verify all inputs and results against the original cited source and applicable institutional guidance.
The calculator is publicly available and does not collect personal health information.
