To know Dr. Shadé Reid, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, is to know a compassionate caregiver, devoted wife and mother of two, and lifelong advocate for children and families. Growing up in Georgia, Shadé was inspired by strong examples of service and care in her own family, which shaped her belief that healthier children build stronger, more resilient communities.

Her path to pediatrics began as a registered nurse in mother/baby and emergency care, where she witnessed firsthand the strength of families navigating some of their hardest moments. That journey led her to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where she spent years as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in neurology, caring for children with complex conditions and supporting families through education, treatment, and advocacy.

Dr. Reid holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Georgia State University and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is known not only for her clinical expertise but also for the way she makes families feel seen, heard, and empowered in their healthcare decisions.

Outside of the clinic, Shadé and her husband have two children, a spirited son and daughter, and she finds joy in food, travel, sports, and building community connections. She brings that same warmth and dedication into her practice every day—partnering with families to nurture the health and well-being of every child in her care.
